Class 3
Class 3 |
Class 3 is taught by Miss Rider and our TA are is Mrs LePoidevin. We are so pleased to be teaching your children and know that we will have a successful year together.
Our topics this year are ‘Fantastic Beasts', 'Splash' and 'Staying Alive'. We are looking forward to learning about subjects such as Ancient Greeks, rivers, forces and materials…as well as lots more.
Throughout the year, we have many exciting things planned such as Experience Harvest, museum visits and a Greek workshops. In the spring term, the children will once again enjoy 2 weeks of intensive swimming.
As in all classes, reading is of great importance. This term, we are continuing to use Boom Reader; this allows us to keep the records of reading both in school and at home. We will also continue to use Seesaw in class, this will allow you to keep track of your child’s learning and can also be used as a way to communicate with us.
Our current PE days are Tuesday and Thursday, children should come to school dressed in their PE kit on those days. Our weekly spellings to learn will be handed out on Monday and the children will be tested on them the following Friday in class. As ever times tables are a real focus for our maths learning, any support you can give at home in this area will greatly support your child’s maths learning.
We can’t wait to see the wonderful achievements that the children will make this year!
In the event of being required to complete remote education, pupils, should follow the remote learning timetable for the relevant week. Teachers will use Seesaw to communicate with your child about their learning and suggest suitable tasks, activities and links to supplement those outlined in the remote learning plan. Most tasks can be completed online or through the use of pencil and paper. For tasks where you may require a printer, but are unable to access one or you have problems getting online, feel free to ask us for further support by contacting the office. Remember to make sure you include time for looking after your health and wellbeing. Stay safe.
