Here at STC, we have a dedicated team of eco-warriors who meet weekly to set targets and help work towards making our school more eco friendly as well as having fun taking part in a range of eco activities. They have already achieved the bronze and silver awards for their work and are now working towards their Green Flag award. As well as meeting weekly, they also help keep the rest of the school informed through half termly meetings which include some of our younger members. The whole team have shown great enthusiasm and commitment, however, two of our amazing pupils (seen below) continually go above and beyond. Whatever the weather, they work tirelessly to ensure we are working towards making a difference, whether it's through digging and clearing the garden, helping others make recycled bird feeders, carrying out investigations using conker laundry detergent or washing bottle tops ready for recycling. They are fantastic role models not only for the other members of eco club, but also for the whole school.

Recycling

We are currently collecting and arranging recycling of the following:

plastic bottles, bottle tops, plastic pens, paper and card and crisp packets.

We collect and compost fruit waste from lunch time and KS1/ EYFS break time.
