The Pupil Premium Grant was introduced by the Government to help schools ensure that all children, whatever their background, are supported to do well at school and have access to the same opportunities as their peers.

At our school, Pupil Premium funding is used carefully and purposefully to remove barriers to learning and wellbeing. The funding helps us provide high‑quality teaching, targeted support and wider opportunities so that eligible pupils can achieve their full potential both academically, socially and emotionally.

Pupil Premium funding is allocated to schools for pupils who are:

• eligible for Free School Meals or have been eligible within the last six years
• previously looked after or adopted from care
• children of service families

Our Pupil Premium strategy explains how the funding is used and the difference it makes for our pupils. This is reviewed regularly to ensure support is meeting pupils’ needs and helping them thrive.
